my friend
My Friend,
I stand in judgment now.
And feel that you are to blame somehow.
On earth, I walked with you day by day.
And never did you point the way.
You knew the Lord in truth and glory,
But never did you tell the story.
My knowledge then was very dim
You could have led me safe to Him.
Though we lived together on earth
You never told me of his second birth.
And now I stand this day condemned.
You could have kept me from this fate.
We walked by day and talked by night
And yet you showed me not the Light.
You let me live and love and die.
You knew I’d never live on high.
Yes I called you a friend in life.
And trusted you through joy and strife.
And yet on coming to the end
I cannot now call you “My Friend”
ohyes, it hit straight to me. what have i been doing? have i done my part as a friend?

don't miss opportunities to share our faith
by john avant
If there is any sadness in Heaven, it may be when we realize how many opportunities we missed to share the Good News of the One who brought us there.
I think every one of us would be stunned if we just saw all the opportunities to impact eternity that are placed in front of us on any one day. We usually don't know when we miss opportunities to share the love of Jesus with someone, but occasionally God may let us discover what we missed so that we won’t miss it the next time.
I had an experience like that last year. My wife and I were going fishing one day. We never go fishing together, but I was taking a day off and the weather was beautiful, and we just decided to go on the spur of the moment. I was really excited. I needed a break, and I love to fish. As we were walking to our car, my wife slipped on an oil spot in the garage – one that I was supposed to have cleaned up – and fell and injured herself. So instead of heading to the lake, we were heading to the emergency room.
Of course, the emergency room was packed that day, and we ended up waiting in a hallway for hours. I just sat there and fumed. I was supposed to be at the lake. I was tired and mad. Now, there were a lot of other people in similar and worse predicaments. The hall was crowded with patients waiting for treatment. Some people were crying. Some were alone. There actually couldn’t have been a better time to minister to people and witness. But I was so disgusted I just sat there and played a game on my Blackberry.
During the long wait, a woman was wheeled in and parked right beside me on a rolling gurney. She was very upset and banged up. She called someone on her cell phone and began to tell them about her car wreck. She had flipped over and been trapped in her car. She said several times, using expletives as she spoke, “I almost died! I can’t believe it. Some nice teenagers talked to me until the ambulance got there. One of them even prayed for me.”
Well, you would think that this witnessing opportunity would be a no-brainer. She hung up and sat there crying. All I had to do was talk to her. I had all the time I needed to get to know her and ask her what would have happened if she had died. But I sat there in my lousy mood and played my game.
Finally, my wife was released, and I went home to put her in bed. When we arrived, two of my children had quite a story to tell me. “Dad, we were driving down the road and this lady flipped over in her car right in front of us!” “Uh-oh,” I thought. I could see what was coming. “We were the first ones there, and she was unconscious. Then she came to and we calmed her down and prayed with her.” I couldn’t believe it. God had put together a miraculous set of circumstances, dropped it all right in my lap, and I had completely blown it.
I am afraid that things like this happen to us all the time. We just usually don't see what we missed. I hope someone will take the opportunity I missed to share with that hurting woman. Maybe you know her. Maybe you won’t be too angry or too busy or be playing too many games to get to know her, love her, and share Jesus with her.It still hurts that I didn’t follow Jesus that day. But here’s the good news. He’s at work today, too! He loves lost people more than I do. And if I will watch and be ready, he will give me a new chance – today and every day – to help change someone’s eternity. And he will do the same for you. If you are ready to quit playing games and ready to make a real difference, then you can make evangelism good news again!

ohyeah.
water baptism. sunday.
think the testimonies were great! it really touches people's heart, well, if yours weren't, at least mine were =)
fear often crippled people to do great things for God. did not pluck up my courage to speak a word of encouragement to you that day. but if you managed to see this entry, it must be God's will (: just wanna thank God for your life and i thought your testimony was great. it was really amazing to know that your family actually came and witnessed your water baptism. once in a lifetime. no one will doubt that it was God who was working in your life & family. thanks for sharing your faith with all of us and indeed, it touched everyone who were there. continue to shine for God in your family and i believe you will impact them as well. stand firm in his word. you will be used greatly in his kingdom :)
yupp, anyway, do make a choice to glorify God through water baptism if you haven't. that's one of the way to please and honour God as well :)
ohyes, wanna thank God for many many people who helped me! gwen, jiayi, ben, ian (found ppl for me), qianjin (for your thoughtfulness), puay, joseph, huiying, zixin, krisstle, bryan and many many more! THANK YOU SO MUCH! =)
hee. shall update again bah.

Happy Birthday Debra!
Happy Birthday Debra!
hee. i know it's a day late. thinking that you might not read my blog, but in the end, i'm asking you to read. ahahha. so yeah, this is for you!
thanks for being such a great friend in my life. indeed, we have walked together for the past three years. thanks for encouraging me throughout and building me strong in the WOG! though we might not be in the same church, but i'm really grateful to God for placing you in my poly and uni life. it's a gift from God :)
you have been a great blessing to me!
though there were times like correcting of each other, moody periods, but i really think the reason why our friendship will stay strong and stable, it's because God is in the centre of our focus. i couldnt think of other reasons that will pull us through all these years. how are we able to tolerate one another weaknesses, yet love one another unconditionally. yup, so at the end of the day, i concluded, God is the reason =)
i really appreciate this friendship i had with you! really treasure and cherish you, sister! i'm always amazed how this friendship grow. from nothing to a friendship that's deeply rooted in our heart :) yupps! we shall run this race together, being faithful and passionate for God.
thank God for you! love you sister!
refreshed.
indeed, it's always good to spend time with people from other congregrations. discussing ministry stuffs and encouraging one another with the WOG. it's ever IMPORTANT to have spiritual element whenever we serve.
had meeting just now with dasmond and the rest of the congregrations' service managers and floor managers. wow! the WOG was so strong and indeed, it kept all of us thinking on what dasmond challenged us today.
one thing that i really want to honour God is my heart attitude and the reason why I serve God. to remain focus and passionate in the things i'm doing. not saying that in the past, i serve out of ulterior motives. but to keep watch over myself throughout this journey with God :)
one question that dasmond sets all of us thinking.
*why am i doing all these things? Is it for self or for God?*
Ask yourself and think deeply. Are you serving out of responsibility or other wrong motives? It really makes a big difference when you are serving unto God with all your heart!
be wise and choose the right path. dont misfocus and choose something that's not gonna last. you know what i mean =)

blessed is the man who calls upon the Lord
i always feel blessed after saturday services. hahah. why? cause it's always a blessing to see people serving God all the way! making the extra mile for God, for his kingdom :)
wow! it's just sooo cool and great! especially people who really make effort and being faithful in their duties. one good example would be ZHIQIANG from NEE. wow! i'm really encouraged by his faithfulness. though there were some misunderstandings about the roster, but he never fails to do security duties whenever he's needed to. i asked him on saturday, "how come you are able to make it for duty and even in the right dress code" and guess what he replied me? he said, "oh, i always put the black shirt in my bag" OH MY GOSH! what a faithful brother he is! Thanks brother for serving hard! appreciate it man! =)
*btw, i doubt he knows about my blog, so if anyone happens to see this, affirm him! hahah.
hmm, also want to affirm ALL TEAMHOPE LEADERS, TEAM LEADERS & VOLUNTEERS!
(in case you are unsure whether you are in teamhope ministry (*which is bad if you really dont know), teamhope consist of Ushers, Security, Information Counter, Offering Counter, Holy Communion and Housekeeping Team)
you guys have been a great support in this team! really really! i really appreciate ALL of you guys! i know all of you have worked hard in one way or another. heeeeeeee. thank GOD for ALL of you! :) we shall move from glory to glory! *being pro-active and spirit of excellent.
yupps! 1 Cor 15:58 =)
